Eagles played strong in defence which resulted in Coventry losing the ball, Eagles intercepted and scored three fast break goals by Noelly. The super winger Kiki scored the 8th goal for Eagles after 17 minutes making Eagles pull away with an 8-3 lead, however after that the Eagles went a bit off track in attack not converting their chances. Coventry came back stronger scoring 7 goals during the first 11 minutes whereby Eagles only scored one by Sunniva. Coventry played an aggressive 6-0 defence that Eagles struggled to get through forcing them to shoot from distance and to play out their moves. The latter led to open gaps on the wings resulting in Kaisa scoring a beautiful goal.
Nevertheless, Coventry continued to fight leaving Eagles with only a one goal lead 13 minutes into the second half. The most critical point in the game was after 47 minutes when the score stood 17-18 to Coventry. After a time out taken by coach Paul, Eagles changed to a 5-1 defence whereby Coventry was pressed into making decisions.
